Used to boost well performance, hydraulic fracturing is a process utilized to introduce a fracture or new pathway in a hydrocarbon-bearing reservoir for increasing its functionality and improving its productivity. The treatment involves using water or oil-based fluids in conjunction with fracturing proppants.

Corrosion Inhibitors

Protect metal components in the wellbore or coiled tubing from corrosion during fracturing operations.

Water Gelling Agents

When seeking to create crosslinked hydraulic fracturing fluids or linear fluids to boost the effectiveness of hydraulic fracturing of oil and gas wells, water gelling agents are sought by operators to promote viscosity in waters or brines.

Cross-Linkers

Increase the apparent viscosity of a gelled fluid to enhance proppant transport and fracture width.

Clay Stabilizers

Help ensure outstanding retention of formation permeability by preventing clay swelling and migration.

Foaming Agents

Foaming agents prove useful in fracturing, acidizing, or gelled acid stimulation treatments, particularly when the aim is achieving rapid fluid recovery and cleanup and/or initiating production to a low pressure reservoir with a gas charge.

  • Foamastim 800 Amphoteric Foamer - Good for use in acid systems and with a variety of corrosion inhibitors, works even at high temperatures to perform like a powerful proppant, with minimal fluid loss
  • Foamastim 810 Anionic Foamer - Delivering surfactant properties in a range of waters from heavy brines to hard and sulphur water, offers high performance and multi-purpose functionality

Bactericides/Biocides

Fluid-system bacteria can often be found in slick waters, fracturing fluids, polymeric drilling muds, and completion and workover fluids, and can be detrimental to the functioning of well treatments.

  • BE-18 - Quaternary ammonium bactericide
  • BE-25 - Aldehyde blend bactericide
  • BE-50 - THPS-based bactericide
  • BE-750 - High-strength biocide

Our cost-effective and highly impactful bactericides combat bacteria that appears in oilfield injection waters resulting from drilling, fracturing fluid systems, and workover and completion.

Friction Reducers

Used with the purpose of mitigating friction pressure during treatments while still delivering maximum hydrostatic pressure, pumping rates, and pumping pressure. Friction reducers are highly effective in small concentrations when used in aqueous base treating fluids like acid, brines, and calcium water.

Available Products:

  • FR-200 - Cationic emulsion polymer
  • FR-220 - Anionic emulsion polymer

These friction reducers promote higher quantities of proppant while maintaining pump rates, so that proppants penetrate deeper into broader fractures.

Surfactants

Facilitate easier post-treatment cleanup. Created for both acid and water systems, and with an eye to fluid flow through rock matrices, these surfactants have been engineered to lower surface and interfacial tension between fluid and formation, leaving the formation water-wet.

Water Gel Breakers

Once it has served its purpose creating a hydraulic fracture and delivering the necessary proppant, a fracturing fluid must go through a process called "breaking," or unthickening, in order to promote the swiftest flow-back.

Available Types:

  • Oxidative Breakers - Ideal for high-temperature reservoirs, cost-effective breakers available in a range of coating levels to control reaction rate
  • Enzyme Breakers - Known for their ability to produce high regain conductivities, also less harmful for the environment
