Acid Corrosion Inhibitors (CORXMI Series)

All acids are corrosive to steel, including your tubing, casing, downhole tools, and more. As the temperature in the wellbore increases, the corrosion rate also increases, sometimes dramatically. YAQOOT AL SAMA's corrosion inhibitors are specially formulated to meet the rigorous demands of operators and environmental agencies.

Acid Emulsifiers (EM-5)

High Performance Emulsifier for Carbonate Reservoir Acidizing. Emulsified acids improve function by providing deeper penetration of acid into reservoirs, which in turn enhances wormhole development and serves to improve hydrocarbon production.

Features:

  • Retards the rate of reaction for deeper penetration of live acid into the formation
  • Stable oil external acid emulsifier
  • High internal phase concentrations (up to 95 parts acid)
  • Effective in a variety of acid concentrations: 15–28% HCl
  • Can be readily blended either at a central location or in the field

Acid Gelling Agents

Achieving consistent viscosities for HCl in both matrix and fracture acidizing operations. These gelling agents achieve stable, dense, and homogenous acid gels with multiple benefits:

  • Improves protection of tubulars
  • Decreases the rate of friction during pumping
  • Increases formation penetration depth
  • Hinders formation face reaction

Anti-Sludge Agents

Formation permeability can be compromised by sludge deposits. YAQOOT AL SAMA's anti-sludge agents inhibit the formation of sludge and emulsions that can occur during acidizing operations when acids such as HCl encounter crude oils.

These agents work to prevent sludge formation, maintain formation permeability, and promote rapid return of the treating fluid to the wellbore.

Iron Control/Sequestering Agents

When a well is treated with acid, ferric iron is dissolved; however, as the acid spends, iron is precipitated as ferric hydroxide. This precipitation can create sludge and plugs, potentially resulting in formation damage and reduced reservoir permeability.

YAQOOT AL SAMA's iron control agents discourage the migration and precipitation of iron compounds in your oil well acidizing operations.

H2S Scavengers

Address harmful iron sulfide deposits with YAQOOT AL SAMA's H2S Scavenger. Targeting the appearance of iron sulfide in acidizing oil and gas wells, the H2S Scavenger works to eliminate iron sulfite deposits that can potentially cause cracking and other damage to wellbores.

Effective when used in tandem with other products for controlling iron, the H2S Scavenger also seeks to control any hydrogen sulfide- or iron sulfide-containing free sulfur.

Mutual Solvents

Insoluble formation fines pick up organic film wherever crude oil and water particles meet. These particles collect and have the capacity to form emulsions and create particle plugging.

When added to acid stimulation treatments, YAQOOT AL SAMA's mutual solvents effectively target oil films, reducing them to solely water-wet characteristics and eliminating emulsions and particle plugging.

Non-Emulsifiers

Addressing emulsions formed during fracturing and other stimulation treatments is essential to combat fracture blockage or formation damage. YAQOOT AL SAMA's non-emulsifier products work to discourage the creation of emulsions between water-based fracturing fluids and any residual oils encountered in formation.

These non-emulsifiers actively break down any emulsions that form and also effectively divert water and oil away from well flow-back fluid.

Surfactants

Facilitate easier post-treatment cleanup by taking advantage of YAQOOT AL SAMA's surfactants. Created for both acid and water systems, and with an eye to fluid flow through rock matrices, these surfactants have been engineered to lower surface and interfacial tension between fluid and formation, leaving the formation water-wet.
